PAA Scholarship Applications Available Online

ATTN: General Office Managers and Controllers

In 2013, the Pennsylvania Automotive Association, through a fund within the PAA Foundation, will award scholarships in two areas.

1. Community Service Scholarship awards will be available to the children, step-children, and grandchildren of Pennsylvania new car and truck dealership personnel who demonstrate charitable characteristics on a continual basis, volunteering their time and their talents to their communities, schools, churches, and other charitable organizations.

Those students who are high school seniors graduating in 2013 or who are currently enrolled as undergraduate students are eligible to apply. Recipients will be eligible to receive awards of up to $5,000 per year for two years, and may reapply for subsequent years.

2. Automotive Technology Scholarship awards will be available to individuals who want to develop the skills necessary to work as a technician in the new retail motor vehicle industry in Pennsylvania.

Applications should demonstrate their interest in pursuing a career in automotive technology through their acceptance to an automotive technician training program and the support of a sponsoring Pennsylvania new car or truck dealer. To be a sponsoring dealer, dealers must agree to employ the individual for a minimum of 200 hours/year for the duration of the scholarship. Recipients enrolled in degree programs at community colleges or four year universities, or non-degree certificate post-secondary training programs will receive awards of up to $5,000 per year for each of the first two years.

Please help make the PAA Scholarship Program a success by encouraging eligible students to apply. Additional guidelines and applications are available online at www.paa.org.

Scholarship applications are due by March 1, 2013.
