GLVADA announces Community Days at the 2013 Auto Show

For the first time in its 16-year history, The Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association (GLVADA) is offering Lehigh Valley nonprofit organizations an opportunity to raise funds by selling tickets for its annual Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Show.

Participating nonprofit organizations will have an opportunity to sell $10 tickets to the Auto Show for Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22. For each $10 ticket the nonprofit sells, it will receive $5 back from GLVADA.

“The secret to our fundraising success has been the annual Auto Show,” said Tom Kwiatek, executive director, GLVADA. “Over the last four years, GLVADA has donated more than $500,000 to support local charities, the primary source of which has been revenues from the Auto Show.”

In addition to the funds a charity can raise through ticket sales, GLVADA will be offering financial incentives to the nonprofit selling the most tickets. Participating nonprofits will also be invited to set up displays and signage on Thursday and Friday of the show as part of Community Days’ onsite promotion.

For more information about registering as a participating nonprofit, visit www.glvautoshow.org/community. Registration must be completed by Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 for program entry.

Last year, GLVADA’s charitable efforts were recognized by the Association of Fundraising Professional’s Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter, which honored GLVADA as the Outstanding Fundraising Group Award for 2012. In 2011, GLVADA contributed approximately $150,000 to area non-profits.
